Shashi Cures the Midterm Blues

I didn't finish Rafoo Chakkar, (I have the tiniest bit left!) I was just too tired last night. I was going to post a bunch of screen caps displaying the wonders of plaid in that film, but I'm stuck on campus and it's midterms this week...and have to run off to another exam in few minutes, BUT not wanting to shirk in my 70s Week responsibilities and because it greatly cheered me up I give you another lackluster YouTube post....
Ahhh....it is Shashi-centric, because I was feeling blue and test-addled.
(I justify my obsession with parenthetical reasoning).

(Nice elf outfit!)

(Because I had no idea this was a real song in DDLJ)

(Because it's just fab. Period)

(Because it might be my all time favorite. And yes, from the 60s)

(Because what is film worth without Shashitabh and manpris? Answer: Nothing)

  1. Agree with all of those AND HOW! When I first saw that song from Pyaar Kiye Jaa I had to pause it and run around the house screeching with delight. As it started, I thought "Well this is already fan-freaking-tastic. I wonder who that is leading the parade. Oh my god...is it?...is it?? IT IS! IT IS SHASHI LEADING THE PARADE OF FABNESS!" I never get tired of that song. I even did a post on it called "The Greatest Song in the World" because it is :)

  2. Now that's what I call dedication! And the songs are properly fabulous. 70s Shashi was the hottest Shashi EVAR!

PS - best of luck with the midterms.

  3. Shashi sure as hell cures all! Actually, just one Kehni ki nahin baat (the third song in your list) is enough to scare away the blues.

All the best for your midterms.

  4. Beth: Trying to picture you running around your house screaming with glee is far too easy to imagine... since it's something I myself participate in ALL THE TIME! Ohhhh boy can he dance! *melt* I'm in a puddle of happiness, and don't want to reform.

Amrita: Thank you, thank you. I have an obsessive personality, dedication comes far too easily. ;) I agree, 70s Shashi has such a delicious yumminess to him! Thanks for the luck, I need it! :D

  5. Bollyviewer: HAHA! It's very true, I was tempted just to put that one, but then I kept looking at others, and others and others and kabam! I had to narrow it down from about a million. :D Thanks!!
