When my darling father booked my plane tickets to India he did NOT do as Maa and I suggested and just get me a one-way ticket so I could poke around for as long as I wanted after my internship was over. Instead I'm flying out of Mumbai the DAY the program ends. (The horror!) He says I have to come home and actually do something with my life, which is where my father and I disagree. Tramping around India and not showering IS my idea of "doing something with my life".
So, while I am in the country that I think originates my soul, I have to make good use of my weekends to see everything that I need to see (and find a husband, but I think the Bollywood-Model* will work out in that situation, so I'm not stressing) and I've narrowed it down to my "Top Three: I must see these or I will die and be pathetic for the rest of my life" list.
They are, in no particular order:
The Taj Mahal
(ok, like that could be anything but first!)
The Golden Temple at Amritsar
Gosh, I wish I had time to go to the Sunderbans and all of the other amazing places in India, but I just won't have the time.
...That's why I'll get married, of course, so I can just go back whenever I want.
*Ahhh, the Bollywood-Model. I shall discuss that next week!
